Flood of 2009
A special message for GNG customers who are victims of the recent floods

GNG is concerned about you, and we're here to help. We not only are sending a corporate donation to the Metro Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross, but our employees collectively are donating to flood relief. We've also implemented several temporary policies on behalf of our customers who are flood victims.

If you call us to temporarily turn off your natural gas service because of flooding, we will –

  • credit back any early termination charges when you restore service if you are on a fixed plan
  • waive our portion of the service establishment charge when you restore service
  • bypass the credit check requirement when you restore service

In order to qualify, you must provide a promotional code when you contact us to restore your service. The code will be given to you when we process your disconnection request.

In addition, special guidelines have been established for GNG flood victims regarding payment arrangements. To discuss those guidelines or to temporarily turn off your service, contact us from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday or 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday at 770-850-6200 in metro Atlanta or toll-free 1-877-850-6200.

If you need general assistance, contact the United Way Helpline – dial 2-1-1 – or visit the United Way web site, www.unitedwayatlanta.org.

Georgia Natural Gas wishes you and your family the best during the recovery process.
